Munster Women Take on Leinster

Having already wrapped up the IWRFU Championship, Munster will seek to finish their season in style by overcoming Leinster and thus become the first team to ever win the Interpro’s undefeated.

Having already wrapped up the IWRFU Championship, Munster will seek to finish their season in style by overcoming Leinster and thus become the first team to ever win the Interpro’s undefeated.

Leinster however will be in no mood to roll over, having defeted Ulster in their last outing and they will be looking to their powerful pack to lay the foundations for a victory that would ensure they are the runners up for 2002. The Munster lineup shows a few adjustments to the team that overcame Connacht, with Elaine Collins, Maeve Quirke and Aisling O’Brien all missing from the forward pack. Changes have not seemed to have affected Munster this season as the strength and depth of the squad has been tested with injuries and unavailabilities meaning that the team has undergone changes for each match.Thirty two players have been used in just six matches and along with experienced internationals guiding the way it has been pleasing to see the emergence of younger players like Amanda Greensmith, Joy Neville, Aisling O’Brien and Claire O’Leary who all seem to have long careers ahead of them.
