Ronan O’Gara came through his first competitive match in over a month when he played for Cork Constitution in their 41-15 victory over UL Bohemians and is looking forward to Saturdays match against France in Lansdowne Road.

O’Gara travelled to the City West Hotel with Munster colleague Frank Sheahan yesterday to join up with the rest of the Ireland Squad ahead of Saturdays crucial clash with the Six Nations title holders. Although included in the Squad of 22 O’Gara may wait until tomorrow before finding out what role he will play. Its thought likely that he will start the game on the bench after impressive displays by his replacement David Humphreys who was drafted in to the Irish side for the game against Scotland because of the injury O’Gara suffered in the Celtic League Final.

The Irish Team will be announced tomorrow at 12.45 (approx).
