Busy Weekend of League Fixtures

The seventh series of games in the AIB All Ireland League are down for decision as are the final series of games in the First Division of the Heineken Munster Junior League.

There is a busy weekend of league games scheduled for this weekend with the final series of games in the First Division of the Heineken Munster Junior down for decision.

In the All Ireland League, the three top clubs will all be hoping to keep the gap with victories. Leaders Shannon are away to Buccaneers, second placed Garryowen travel to Ballymena and Cork Constitution entertain Blackrock at Temple Hill.
In the Second Division the big game is the meeting of Terenure College and U.C.C. at Lakelands Park, while both Young Munster and Dolphin will hope to maintain their challenge with away victories over Ballynahinch and Malone.

Third Division leaders Clonakilty face a difficult tie away to Suttonians while Bruff and Nenagh Ormond should maintain their challenge with home victories over Portadown and Skerries. Sunday’s Well are at home to Corinthians in agane that has a 5.00 kick off

Three of the six qualifiers for the Junior League title are known with Cobh Pirates, Thurles and Youghal through to the knock out stages.
The big game is the meeting of Clanwilliam and Cashel with the winners assured of their place in the last six while the losers could miss out, if Kilfeacle defeat Charleville.
The sixth place is between Kanturk and Skibbereen with the West Cork side just needing a point to be assured of their place in the qualifiers.

Both Mallow and Ballincollig will be promoted from the Third Division should they both win. Leaders Mallow are at home to Kinsale and Ballincollig face a difficult task away to Galbally.
