There is an early start to the competitive season for Junior Clubs with two games in the First Round of the Heineken Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup getting the season underway on the opening weekend of September.
The remaining sides will be in action in the Second Round the following week with the subsequent rounds being played each weekend up to the semi-final stage on Sunday 1st October. The final is scheduled for the Bank Holiday Monday 30th October.
The Heineken Munster Junior League will commence on the 8th October and conclude on the 21st January 2007.
Now that the league has reverted back to its old format of 12 sides in the First and Second Division, the opening day sees last season s finalists Youghal and Cobh Pirates meeting in Youghal in what should set the scene for an exciting league.
