Lucozade Sport Launch New Sports Performance Range

Lucozade Sport launched a new sports performance product range with Munster Rugby yesterday afternoon in UL. Each product in the range has been developed to meet the following training needs: Hydration, Fuel, Recovery and Strength.

Lucozade Sport, a Munster Rugby partner, joined forces with Munster players Tommy O’Donnell, Alan Quinlan and Tony Buckley to unveil the new range today.

Each product is designed with a particular sports requirement in mind and has been developed to be used as part of a diet and exercise regime to help people achieve their sports and exercise goals.

Just a 2% reduction in body weight through sweating can result in a significant decrease in performance, so it is important to replace fluids and electrolytes lost through sweat, during exercise. Lucozade Sport Hydro Active range not only helps replace the fluid lost in sweat but also electrolytes such as sodium. This product is ideal for exercise sessions up to one hour.

Fuelling the body is crucial to performance and carbohydrate is the body’s preferred source of energy during exercise as it improves performance. Lucozade Sport Body Fuel range contains fluid and carbohydrate to help fuel your muscles and hydrate your body. It is proven to help you to “Last Longer, Finish Stronger in the last 15 minutes “

Rapid recovery after sport is vital for anyone that trains regularly and is seeking to get the most from their performance. Recovery requires protein to enhance muscle protein synthesis, carbohydrate to replace the stores used during exercise and fluid to counter sweat loss. Lucozade Recovery products contain a mix of carbohydrate and protein and should be used soon after training to promote muscle protein synthesis and rebuild glycogen stores.

These products are currently available in select gyms and sports complexes around the country, and in Elverys and MC Sports.
