Munster and Timberland 3 Peaks Challenge

17th September 2010 By Munster Rugby

Munster and Timberland 3 Peaks Challenge

On the 29th of August Munster Rugby teamed up with Timberland to take on the highest peaks in Kerry, Tipperary and Cork over a 24hr period all in aid of Enable Ireland.

The three peaks included Carrauntuohill (Kerry), Galteemore (Tipperary) and Knockboy (Cork) and a group of 24 committed to the day.

It was a physically and mentally challenging experience for all involved however, the overriding sense of achievment eliminated any feelings of exhaustion following the challenge.

Pictured are staff members from Timberland and Munster Rugby about to embark on the Devil's Ladder at the base of Carrauntuohill.

All monies raised will be donated to Enable Ireland, with a cheque being presented at the Munster v Ospreys game in Thomond Park on Saturday the 18th of September.

To date the Three Peaks Challenge has raised over €;17,400 with money still being donated.  More details here.

Thank you to all supporters and to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause.

A note of thanks also to the drivers and guides on the day, without which the challenge could not have been possible.
