Quiet weekend in AIL for Munster Contracted

The Munster players who were to the fore in the AIL a week ago were for the most part involved in Ravenhill on Friday night although Simon Zebo, Stephen Archer and Peter O’Mahony all turned out for Con on Saturday.

Zebo played for 20 minutes against Ulster, O'Mahony for 51 while Archer was an unused replacement. All three contributed handsomely to Con's 26-20 victory over Shannon in Coonagh.

Alan Quinlan, who O'Mahony replaced in the 19th minute in Ravehill, pulled a hamstring but expects to be available for Munster's next game against the touring Australians on November 16th as does Denis Hurley who retired in the 60th minute to be replaced by Zebo, with cramp.

Declan Cusack was responsible for all of Garryowen's points in their game with Blackrock in Stradbrook, the Dooradoyle outfit going down 16-11 while JJ Hanrahan kicked two penalties and a conversion but UL Bohemians lost by the narrowest of margins to Bruff in Kilballowen Park.

Barry Murphy, a bench replacement the night before in Belfast, played the full 80 mins for UL Bohemians and came through with flying colours.
