Munster Delay Naming Their Squad

With 10 players just returning to the squad for training today after the international series, Munster have delayed naming their squad for the Magners League clash with Cardiff Blues until Thursday.

Weather conditions forced the Munster squad to move their morning and afternoon squad session from UL where pitches were frozen to Garryowen's facility at Dooradoyle. All those involved in the Test game against Argentina reported fit and well for the today's run out in bitterly cold conditions.

Included was Paul O'Connell who completed his first forty minutes of play of the season last Friday for his club Young Munster, fuelling speculation that he will be included in the squad when it's announced on Thursday.

Munster's five game winning run in all competitions ended at Newport Gwent Dragons in Friday night when they were beaten 20-6. They have won all six home games they have played this season.

For their part, Cardiff Blues ended a three game winless run with their 38-6 victory over Glasgow on Saturday. The Blues have won six of their last seven away games in the Magners League and lie just four points behind Munster in the table.

Tickets for the game are reported to be selling well with in excess of 18,000 already out there and tickets will be available right up to match time from the usual outlets, Munster Ticket Offices Cork and Limerick, Munster Rugby Store Cork & Limerick, Gleeson Sports Limerick and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
