Border Rout of Irish Wolfhounds

Border Rout of Irish Wolfhounds

The Ireland Wolfhounds were beaten 32-13 by Scotland A this evening in the Scottish Borders town of Galashiels having led 13-9 at half-time.

Ulster flanker Willie Faloon scored a try in the opening half and the conversion and two penalties from his Ulster colleague Ian Humphreys left Ireland with a four point interval lead.

However, a change of tactic and greater urgency from the home side in the second half saw them produce a strong performance to score 23 points without reply and emerge deserving winners.
