Murphy and Scannell Start For U20s

The Ireland U20s open their Junior World Championship campaign against Australia tomorrow at Stade de la Rabine in Vannes.

The starting XV includes Munster academy players Ryan Murphy at 8 and Rory Scannell at fullback. Scannell makes the move to 15 having previously played centre and outhalf for the Irish U20s during their 6 Nations tournament.

Their academy colleague Sean McCarthy is named in the replacements, while Leinster scrum-half Luke McGrath will lead the side.

The pool B game will be televised on TG4 with a 5.45pm Irish kick-off.
