Munster Rugby And Timberland Support C.R.O.S.S.

Munster Rugby and Timberland once again join forces, this time taking part in the C.R.O.S.S. Rugby Legends cycle which takes place in September.

Teams from Timberland® and Munster Rugby will put their levels of endurance to the test on the final stage of the C.R.O.S.S. cycle on Friday September 13th by completing the 119K cycle from Killarney to Mizen head.

Timberland and Munster Rugby will be raising funds and making a donation to C.R.O.S.S to assist in their cancer research at St. James Hospital.

This is the third year Munster Rugby and Timberland have jointly supported a fundraising initiative with previous events including the Kerry Way Challenge for CARI and the 3 Peaks Challenge for Enable Ireland. C.R.O.S.S. were one of Munster's three nominated charities for the 2011/12 season.

More details about the complete cycle can be found here.

The Cancer Research of the Oesophagus and Stomach (C.R.O.S.S.) charity at St James’s Hospital is a focal point for cancer research that is undertaken at the Institute of Molecular Medicine located in the Trinity (College) Centre at the Hospital. A significant element of the research programme relates to prevention and treatment of oesophageal and stomach cancer, but the Centre also undertakes research in cancer of the breast, colon, rectum and lung.
