Munster face Toulouse in the Heineken Cup quarter-final at Thomond Park tomorrow in the fifth clash between the two sides (ko 1:30pm).

It's two wins apiece and you can check out the best pics from the four previous clashes here.

The first game was played at the Stade Ernest Wallon in 1996 with Toulouse, the inaugural winners of the competition the previous season, thrashing Munster on a 60-19 scoreline.

Munster returned four years later to shock the French side in the Heineken Cup semi-final with a thrilling 31-25 win.

John Hayes, Jason Holland and Ronan O’Gara were the try-scorers for Munster at the Stade Chaban Delmas as they reached their first final.

Unfortunately, Northampton lay in wait at Twickenham and secured a 9-8 victory to deny Declan Kidney’s side.

Munster continued their quest for European glory and were beaten 13-12 by Toulouse in the 2003 semi-final with Frederic Michalak, now at Toulon, scoring a 74th minute try at the Stade Lescure in Bordeaux. Jean-Baptiste Ellisalde landed the difficult conversion to give Toulouse the lead for the first time and Munster were out.

Having once again been beaten finalists to Leicester the previous season, Ronan O’Gara vowed after the game: “I'm sure one day we will win it.”

Munster finally secured the Holy Grail in 2006 with a 23-19 win over Biarritz and won their second Heineken Cup against Toulouse two years later.

The Millennium Stadium was the venue for the 2008 final and Denis Leamy scored Munster’s only try with Ronan O’Gara kicking the winning penalty just after the hour to make it 16-13 and Declan Kidney’s side were European Champions once again.
