Munster claimed a seven-try bonus point victory against Edinburgh at the weekend, holding on to third spot in the table and moving within a point of second placed Glasgow.

Captain Paul O'Connell had the following to say after the 55-12 victory, "We had a hell of a lot to play for with an outside shout at a home semi-final, and trying to secure third for ourselves, whereas Edinburgh probably didn't have a lot to play for."

"We didn't start well but once we got the ball in our hands we were very good at exploiting opportunities. Our first try was a really good one where we pulled them from one side of the pitch to the other and finished it off well.

"We made a lot of breaks playing that kind of rugby and it is satisfying knowing we can play that kind of rugby. We mauled well at times earlier this season but it's good to know we can mix it up when we want to."
