Team Named For Wales U20 Clash

All eight Munster representatives are included in Mike Ruddock’s Ireland U20 team to play Wales in their second round pool game of the IRB Junior World Championship.

The Head Coach has made a two changes to the starting team who lost out to France 19 – 13 in their tournament opener, as the Irish hope to make amends for a 0-16 defeat to the Welsh in this year’s 6 Nations.

Munster’s Alex Wootton, makes his first appearance of the tournament on the wing, while Darragh Moloney has been promoted to a starting position in the second row.

Prop Rory Burke retains his starting position, as do hooker Max Abbot, centre Dan Goggin and Irish Captain Jack O’Donoghue at number 8.

Diarmaid Dee and Ryan Foley who made their Irish U20 debuts alongside Moloney last time out will again provide cover from the bench.

Ireland v Wales, Pool B, IRB Junior World Championship, Pukekohe, Friday June 6^th. KO 17.35 local time (06.35hrs Irish time) with coverage starting on TG4 from 06.25.
