Season Kicks Off In Cork

With pre-season completed, Munster bid to continue winning ways in Cork when they open their 2015/16 Guinness PRO12 campaign against Benetton Treviso at Irish Independent Park on Saturday night. Join us under lights for a 7:45pm kick-off and take the whole family from just EUR30!

Hoping to build on the achievements of last season that saw Munster finish as runners-up to Glasgow Warriors, the province will look to start league proceedings on a winning note at a venue where they remain undefeated since its redevelopment last year (see video below).

Benetton Treviso travel to Cork for the first time since April, and despite losing 30-19 on that occasion, the Italians asked plenty questions of the Munster-men on the day, running in three tries.

Adding further spice to this encounter is the fact that both sides are also drawn in Pool 4 of the European Champions Cup with each hoping to lay down a marker for the games ahead.

Meanwhile, Munster also look forward to welcoming Special Olympics Team Ireland to the game following their successes at 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles.
