Betts To Start For Ireland U20

Munster prop Ben Betts will make his first start for Ireland U20s after being named at tighthead for Round 2 of the World Rugby U20 Championship against New Zealand tomorrow – ko 1.30pm.

Betts will wear the number 3 jersey in place of the injured Conor Kenny, who has returned home following a shoulder injury he suffered in the opening minutes of the Wales game.

James Bollard comes on to the bench as one of the replacement props.

The remainder of the team that defeated Wales 26-25 on Tuesday is unchanged with Munster’s Bill Johnston and Shane Daly remaining in the starting XV while Vincent O’Brien, Kelvin Brown and Sean O’Connor are again named on the bench.

The match will be broadcast live on TG4 and Sky Sports 3 and will be refereed by Craig Maxwell-Keys of the RFU.
