Look back at ground breaking tours for the Irish senior and U20s sides where Joe Schmidt’s men recorded their first win over the Springboks on South African soil and Nigel Carolan’s young bucks reach the World Rugby U20 Championship final for the first time.

On the representative front, Munster’s CJ Stander, Conor Murray, Keith Earls, Dave Kilcoyne and Donnacha Ryan all featured in South Africa with Murray winning his 50th Irish cap on Saturday.

Meanwhile, eight of Munster’s interprovincial winning U20 side were included for this year’s World Rugby U20 Championship in Manchester with Ben Betts, Vincent O’Brien, Sean O’Connor, Evan Mintern, Kelvin Brown, Bill Johnston, Shane Daly and Paul Kiernan all seeing game time.
