The Munster side for tomorrow’s second round Heineken Cup clash with Benetton Treviso shows just one change to the starting line-up and one on the bench from the side that lost narrowly to Northampton Saints.
Denis Fogarty comes into the front row in place of the injured Jerry Flannery (calf muscle) while this time around there is a 5:3 forwards backs split on the bench and that means Denis Hurley, 24th man last week, comes in for Donnacha Ryan who features in the Munster A side that takes on Leinster tonight in Clonmel RFC (7pm).
Fogarty has ten Heineken Cup caps to his credit but tonight is his first start and while admitting it’s a blow to be without Flannery coach Tony McGahan commented “Of course it’s disapponting, particularly so for the player himself but Denis has been around this squad a long time and fits in well. He’s worked extremely hard over the last 18 months of his rugby career to get an opportunity to start a Heineken Cup at home and I know he’s thrilled and certainly looking forward to it.”
