Details have been announced of warm up games for Munster before their opening Celtic League game with Llanelli on Saturday 31st August.
Munster fans will not have to wait much longer for the return of their heroes to Thomond Park. Details have been announced of warm up games for Munster before their opening Celtic League game with Llanelli on Saturday 31st August. Munster will face the Bristol Shoguns on Tuesday August 13th at 7pm in Thomond Park.
The Shoguns who placed 8th in last years Zurich Premiership League have made two new signings to strengthen their squad in preparation for the forthcoming Zurich Premiership and Heineken Cup campaigns. The Shoguns have signed up Wales U21 international second row Scott Morgan from Llanelli, and former England U21 and A scrum-half Peter Richards from Italian club Treviso. Other big names that you will find sporting the Bristol jersey include Scrum Half Augustin Pichot & Fly Half Felipe Contepomi both from Argentina.
This game is sure to provide some great mid-week entertainment for all Munster fans as we see our team playing for the first time under new coach Alan Gaffney. Also a provisional fixture has been arranged with Connacht to be played in Galway, on either Thursday 22nd/Friday 23rd of August. The venue and kick off to be confirmed later.
