Munster Under 21’s Tour To England
24th July 2002 By Munster Rugby
The Munster U21 team will tour to England on the weekend of August 23rd to play London Irish & Wasps.
The Munster U21 team will tour to England on Friday August 23rd for the weekend to play two games. They will play the London Irish U21 team in Reading on the Friday night and play the London Wasps U21’s at Adams Park on Sunday
It is likely that between 25 and 30 players will travel in the U21 squad. This tour takes place just two weeks before the Munster U21’s begin their Interprovincial championship. And just a week before London Irish & Wasps start their bid for the premiership title. So these games will be by no means friendly as all 3 teams will be aiming to hit the ground running to start off their seasons
Munster U21’s will play their Interprovincial games…
At home to Connaught on September 7th
Away to Leinster on September 14th
And will Play Ulster in Thomond Park on September 21st
The Interprovincial semi-finals will be played in “AIL” fashion on September 28th with the 1st team playing 4th, and the 2nd team playing 3rd.
The Interprovincial final will then be played on the first weekend of October.
