McHugh To Equal Referees Record

David McHugh will equal the record of most Tests handled by an Irish official, when he takes charge of the South Africa New Zealand tie in Durban on August 10th.

Munster referee David McHugh will equal the record of most Tests handled by an Irish official, when he takes charge of the South Africa New Zealand tie in Durban on the 10th of August.

McHugh will replace Scott Young for the Tri-Nations game between South Africa and New Zealand in Durban on August 10th. Young has not recovered from an injury which forced him to miss the Tri-Nations match between the two countries in Wellington on July 20. This will be Dave’s 23rd International equalling the record of Kevin Kelleher. He is also appointed as Touch Judge for the South Africa Australian tie a week later in Johannesburg.

The match officials for the game on August 10 will be:

David McHugh Referee Chris White no. 1 Touch Judge Alain Rolland no.2 Touch Judge
