Simon Kerr Arrives In Munster!

Munster’s latest signing and new Prop forward Simon Kerr arrived in Ireland this morning (Sunday 19/08).

Munster’s latest signing and new Prop forward Simon Kerr arrived in Ireland this morning (Sunday 19/08) and will now begin settling into his new home in Munster.

Simon will meet with the rest of the Munster squad early this week, and Munster hope that he will be ready to make his first appearance in a Munster Jersey this coming Friday (23/08) at 3pm when Munster face Connacht in a friendly at the Sportsground in Galway.

Prop forward Kerr is 32 years old, and joins Munster from Australian Super 12’s team the Queensland Reds. Kerr also played club rugby with the Gold Coast Breakers under Grant Batty.

Kerr joined the Reds for the 2001 season and made his Vodafone Super 12 debut against the Stormers. Kerr also played two seasons for Southland in New Zealand s NPC, & in 1997 played for the NSW Waratahs, at the same time that Munster coach Alan Gaffney coached their backs. Simon is capable of playing both sides of the scrum but has a preference for tighthead.

Welcome To Munster Simon!
