Munster named their side for the game against Edinburgh on Friday night and it includes Anthony Foley, John Hayes, Rob Henderson and John Kelly, all of whom were involved with the Ireland side on Saturday.

However, Ronan O Gara and Peter Stringer were not made available for selection. O Gara suffered an ear laceration during the course of Saturday s game while Peter Stringer has been rested.

Coach Alan Gaffney has paired Jason Holland with Dominic Malone at half-back with Jeremy Staunton at full-back. Gaffney sees the Edinburgh trip as a particularly difficult assignment. I d expect them to play a typical Scottish game, where they ll try to keep the ball alive as much as possible and try to get plenty of pace into their play. They re always tough opponents and particularly so at this stage because they ve two wins under their belts. They won in Ravenhill, and how many sides will do that this season. With home advantage they ll be looking to put one over on us.

Having said that Gaffney was pleased to have nearly all his squad available for selection. Ronan and Peter were ruled out, but at this stage it s still a question of trying out different options and combinations. So there were a lot of close calls, any of the bench players would fit easily into the starting XV.
