Munster will have home advantage when they take on Leinster in the U21 Interprovincial championship play-off on Friday (Thomond Park 6.30pm).

This is the first year that the competition has had a knock-out phase which in turn act as trials for the International side. When the sides met earlier this month in Donnybrook, Munster came from being 14-6 down to win 28-4.

However, Munster manager Niall O’Shea is wary of that result. ” It flattered us in many ways and doesn’t reflect how good a side Leinster are. They milled us in the line-out and I would say it was the hardest game we had this year. So we cerainly will be taking nothing for granted.” The winners of this match will play the winners of the Ulster v Connacht (Ravenhill) game on Saturday.

Munster U21 Starting Line-up:

Peter O’Brien, Richard Lane, Barry Murphy, Keith Matthews, Alister Cowley, Barry Keeshan, Fiach O’Loughlin, Eugene McGovern, Denis Fogarty, Jody Danagher; Ryan Hartigan, John McCarthy, Stephen Keogh (Capt), Eoin Nihill, Brendan O’Connor.

Replacements: Rory O’Connor, Jonathan Rothwell, Kevin O’Mahoney, Alan Purcell, Cathal Garvey, Brian Touhy, Garteh Noonan, Frank Cogan, Ross Callaghan, Vincent Soden.

Munster v Leinster
