Munster Youths Team to Face Ulster

The Munster Youths team to face Ulster for their opening game this weekend, 12th October in Belfast has been announced. The Youths completed 6 months preperation with wins over Munchins & Christians.

Munster Youths completed preparations for their opening game against Ulster this coming weekend, 12th October in Belfast.

They had two comprehensive wins over Munchins and Christians colleges over the past two weeks having played six games for their preparations, loosing one, drawn one and winning four with numerous training sessions over that past six months or so.

The young men in red travel to Ravenhill this weekend to play a confident Ulster XV who won the Championship last season. The Squad was announced on Sunday last and will be led by last season’s second row Mike O’Hea.

Munster Youths XV:

Ian O Regan (Sundays Well RFC), Kieran O Neill (Youghal RFC), Dave Lombard (Clonakility RFC), Declan Foy (Killarney RFC), Ian Hanly (Killfeacle RFC), Colin Mahoney (Highfield RFC), Conor Prenderville (Abbyfeale RFC), Ricky Walsh (Highfield RFC), Sami Francis (Tralee RFC), Ger Luby (Killfeacle RFC), Mick O Hea, Captain (Clonakility RFC), Darren Twomey (Sundays Well), Kieran O Neill (Clonakility RFC), TJ Hickey (Cashel RFC), Matt Moloney (Thurlus RFC).

Replacements: Batt Duggan (Clonakility RFC), Dave Ryan (Highfield RFC), Dave O Hea (Highfield), Brian Shanahan (Castleisland RFC), Jason Frahill (Cobh RFC), Paul Moynihan (Cobh RFC), Aidan Floyd (Highfield RFC).

Munster v Ulster – Youths

Kick-off: Saturday, October 12th, 13:30 (GMT) Venue: Ravenhill, Belfast.

Captain of the Munster senior squad Jim Williams wishes the young men in red on behalf of the senior players and coaching staff the best of luck in their campaign.
