Team manager Jerry Holland today named David Wallace (Garryowen)) and Richard Lane (UCC) as Munster’s two additional players allowed to be added to the Munster squad for the knock-out stages of the Heineken Cup competition.
Wallace was omitted from the original Heineken Cup squad because he was recovering from corrective surgery to a shoulder injury.
Richard Lane went to school in Presentation Brothers College (Cork) where he played full-back on the senior side beaten by CBC in the 2000 Munster Schools Senior Cup final and he also represented Munster Schools.
This time last year he played on the wing for the Ireland Under 19 side in the four games they played in the FIRA U19 World Cup in Italy. This season he has graduated to the Ireland Under 21 side and this afternoon (Friday) will be on the right wing for the Under 21s when they take on Wales in EBW Vale.
