Munster Squad to Face Connacht

Frank Sheahan, Paul O’Connell, Alan Quinlan and Ronan O’Gara, all of whom were involved in last weekends game against England, are named in the Munster squad for Friday’s warm-up against Connacht.

As expected coach Alan Gaffney has opted to give Peter Stringer, John Hayes and Anthony Foley, a rest ahead of the quarter final game against Leicester. Although the full squad assembled in Thomond park on Wednesday, Gaffney excused the latter trio from the morning training session. “What these three need right now is rest, they don’t need to go running around a paddock after what they’ve been through the past few weeks.”
