There were no surprises in the composition of the squad and it is probably the strongest squad that the Munster coach has had available all season.

” Yes, with the exception of David (Wallace) and John O’Neill we have a full squad to choose from. The injured players have come back into the frame and that’s good news and the reason why we have named an extended squad at this time. There are several positions that will be close calls and I’m not going to go into what those positions are for obvious reasons. But we will be having another run out on Thursday and will have another look at the various permutations. We will be bringing the 26 we named to Leicester but we’re unlikely to name the starting squad until Friday at the earliest.

Munster trained today (Tuesday) behind closed doors in Thomond Park and will have a final morning training session in Cork on Thursday and will fly out to England from Shannon on Friday
