Munster Withdraw from Latham Negotiations

Munster have confirmed that they have had to withdraw from negotiations with Chris Latham and his agent as Latham had failed to conclude a deal he had previously agreed in writing.

Following on from media speculation over the weekend in relation to Queensland Red full-back Chris Latham and his proposed move to Ireland, Munster have today issued the following statement:

Munster have confirmed that they have had negotiations with Chris Latham and his agent with regard to the player joining Munster at the conclusion of this year’s RWC and that Latham had agreed terms in writing with Munster. However, as the player has failed to conclude the deal formallly, Munster have now withdrawn from those negotiations.

Munster coach Alan Gaffney said, ” I am very disappointed that Chris has failed to conclude the agreement as he had agreed with me. We are always looking to strenghten our squad and he would have been a welcome addition. We will continue to speak to players of a similar standard.
