Munster Schools Take on Leinster

Munster Schools open their interprovincial campaign with a game against Leinster Schools in Donnybrook today at 2pm.

Munster Schools open their interprovincial campaign with a game against Leinster Schools in Donnybrook today at 2pm.

The Munster side includes seven players from last season full back Evan Ryan, centre Tom Gleeson, scrum-half Duncan Williams, prop Daragh Hurley, lock Billy Holland, flanker Michael Essex and number 8 Jonathan Harte.

Hurley and Williams also played with the Irish Schools international XV, Williams the regular number 9 in the three games played while Hurley won his cap as a replacement in the 35-26 victory over England in Templeville Road.

In preparation for this championship Munster undertook a two match mid-October English tour where they recorded victories over Bath Academy and Gloucestershire Schools. Last week they had their final warm-up game against UCC U19/20s, a game that ended in a 13-13 draw.
