The draw for the first two rounds of the Heineken Munster Junior Cup has been announced. The draw produced some interesting derby pairings of Cobh Pirates playing Midleton

The draw for the first two rounds of the Heineken Munster Junior Cup has been announced. The draw produced some interesting derby pairings of Cobh Pirates playing Midleton, Garryowen at home to Shannon, Ballincollig hosting Highfield, Douglas v Crosshaven and Waterpark against Dungarvan.

The opening two rounds are regionalized with two first round games in the North of the Province and fourteen in the South. The draw for the first round, which will be played on The 11th January is

Abbeyfeale v Kilfeacle Garryowen v Shannon Clonakilty v Youghal Dolphin v Muskerry Castleisland v Fermoy Charleville v Skibbereen Mallow v Tralee Kinsale v Carrick-on-Suir Waterpark v Dungarvan Old Christians v Clonmel Douglas v Crosshaven Dunmanway v Cork Constitution Ballincollig v Highfield Sunday’s Well v Kanturk Cobh Pirates v Midleton Bandon v U.C.C.

Eight teams from both north and south will qualify for the third round and they will go into an open draw. The Second Round is scheduled for Sunday 25th January and the pairings are

Bruff v Clanwilliam St. Senan’s v Young Munster Thurles v Cashel Nenagh Ormond v Old Crescent Abbeyfeale/Kilfeacle v Garryowen/Shannon Thomond v Ennis U.L. Bohemian v St. Mary’s Richmond v Galbally Mallow/Tralee v Kinsale/Carrick-on-Suir Clonakilty/Youghal v Ballincollig/Highfield Charleville/Skibbereen/ v Sunday’s Well/Kanturk Waterford City v Dunmanway/Cork Constitution Dolphin/Muskerry v Bandon/U.C.C.
