Ulster have posted the highest average attendance for Celtic Rugby matches this season – over 80,000 will have gone through the turnstiles come Firday nights virtual sell-out final home game, against Leinster Lions. And to mark their average crowd of almost 7,000, Celtic Rugby Tournament Director Keith Grainger will present a special Celtic silver salver to the Irish province before the kick-off.
To involve those responsible for the award, the presentation will be made to half a dozen fans chosen at random from the crowd who have contributed to the honour going to Ireland ahead of the second best supported team, Llanelli Scarlets, and the 5,700 average who have turned out for Celtic Rugby matches at Stradey Park.
