Munster Schools Lose Out to Ulster

Interprovincial title holders Munster, had to give best to Ulster Shools in an entertaining game played with no small amount of skill in difficult conditions in Campbell College Belfast on Saturday.

Interprovincial title holders Munster, had to give best to Ulster Shools in an entertaining game played with no small amount of skill in difficult conditions in Campbell College Belfast on Saturday.

Ulster had to wait until the 27 minute of the second half before they took the lead with a penalty from James Shiels and then in injury time Mark McCrea scored a try with Shiels again adding the points.

Despite a strong start to both halves, Munster in the end had to succumb to a physically stronger home side. Their best chances came mid way through the opening half when a series of attacks had Ulster defending desperately but as the game wore on Munster in turn were forced to and in the end the victory went to the deserving side.
