Munster coach Alan Gaffney will have a near full-strength squad to choose from when he sits down to select his side to face leinster in Musgrave Park on New Year’s Day.
After training this (Thursday) morning in Thomond Park, Gaffney named a 26 strong squad that included David Wallace but not John Kelly who is still recovering from a bruised bone in his ankle. “John is back training,” Gaffney said, ” but is just not right there yet so we’ll leave him off this weekend.”
Kelly picked up the injury training with the national squad and has not featured in a Munster squad since early November.
Backs Ronan O’Gara, Peter Stringer, Rob Henderson and Mike Mullins and hooker Frank Sheahan who all missed the game against Connacht last weekend return to the squad.
