Irish Schools XV 20 – 5 Ireland U19 XV

Twenty unanswered points in a wind assisted opening half helped the Irish Schools side to a 20-5 victory over an Ireland U19 Selection at Lakelands Park Terenure.

In the opening half, prop Cian Healy and Blackrock College winger Vasya Artemiev scored tried that out-half Brian Collins converted. Collins (Castleknock College) also landed two penalties to leave the Schools 20 points clear at the interval.

Although the U19s got themselves on the scoreboard with an early second half try, Highfield prop David Ryan the scorer, they never really looked likely to overhaul the leaders.
