With injury ruling out Ronan O’Gara, the spotlight switches to Paul Burke who will occupy the piovotal ou-half berth in the course of the next few weeks.
Paul Burke will take over the number 10 Munster shirt in the absence through injury of Ronan O’Gara for the next few weeks. In Saturday’s game against Leinster, O’Gara broke a bone in a finger of his right hand and he will be in plaster for the next three weeks.
The move by Munster to add Burke to their squad during the summer means they have a top notch replacement for the pivotal position, coach Alan Gaffney recognising that when he said, ” Of course it’s a blow to lose a player like Ronan, no question about that. But it is heartening to say the least that we have a player such as Paul to step in.”
Burke has started in ten of Munster’s games this season.
