Time And Date Set But No Venue

Munster will play Biarritz Olympique in the quarter-final of the Heineken Cup on Sunday April 3rd with a 4pm kick-off but the venue has yet to be decided

Munster will play Biarritz Olympique in the quarter-final of the Heineken Cup on Sunday April 3rd with a 4pm kick-off but the venue has yet to be decided.

It is understood that Biarritz are looking at alternative venues to their Stade Aguilera which only has a capacity of a little over 12,600, which under the participation agreement that every club has signed up to, would mean that Munster supporters would only be entitled to 3,200 tickets.

It is understood that Munster have urged ERC to use their influence to have the game moved to a bigger stadium in order to satisfy the huge demand they expect for tickets from Munster supporters.

Prior to the start of this season’s competition, Munster themselves had already determined that, in the event of them winning a home quarter final, the game would be played in Lansdowne Road because of the limited capacity of Thomond Park for such an event.
