Paul O’Connell Leads The Irish

In the absence of Brian O’Driscoll, Munster lock Paul O’Connell will lead the Ireland side in tomorrow’s RBS Six Nations game in Murrayfield while Gordon D’Arcy is ruled out

In the absence of Brian O’Driscoll, Munster lock Paul O’Connell will lead the Ireland side in tomorrow’s RBS Six Nations game in Murrayfield while Gordon D’Arcy has finally been ruled out of contention.

D’Arcy didn’t travel with the side to Scotland, management insisting he would be having a fitness test this morning in Dublin.

And so in the absence of the normal centre partnership, Kevin Maggs pairs up with Shane Horgan, Leinster full-back Girvan Dempsey is on the right wing and Gavin Duffy is on the bench.
