Avonnmore Milk Munster Schools Cup Games On Chorus Sportschannel.

After a busy week on the Munster Schools Rugby calendar, with all semi finals decided in the Munster Schools Cups, those of you who missed the fantastic displays have a number of opportunities to see the games on Chorus Sportschannel in the next few days.

In the first Semi-final of the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior Cup, CBC took on defending champions St. Munchin s College in a very tense game at Musgrave Park last Wednesday. It showcased some of the best talent in the school s competitions, with a nail biting finish to rival any top level game. CBC unseated the champions with a fantastic finish, winning 19-13 and securing their place in the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior Cup final on St. Patrick s Day.

In the second Senior Cup Semi-final, Cork and Limerick were once again drawn on opposite sides, with Presentation Brothers College travelling to Thomond Park to face Crescent College Comprehensive. It was to be PBC s day, emerging 19-5 victors, and setting up the prospect of a a riveting all Cork clash in the Senior Cup Final at Musgrave Park on St. Patrick s Day.

In the Avonmore Milk Junior Cup Semi-final replay between Crescent College Comprehensive and Christian Brothers College, it was last year s winners CBC who came through this low scoring game to win a place in the Junior Cup Final against Ard Scoil Ris on Thursday 10th March in Thomond Park. In their initial outing, the teams drew 10-10. In the replay, CBC managed to hold onto an 8-5 advantage to win the game.
