Three of Munster’s pride of Lions John Hayes, Donncha O’Callaghan and Paul O’Connell will be in action in Thomond Park on Saturday when Munster complete their Celtic League programme
Three of Munster’s pride of Lions John Hayes, Donncha O’Callaghan and Paul O’Connell will be in action in Thomond Park on Saturday when Munster complete their Celtic League programme with the game against Edinburgh. Already assured of a second place finish, Munster have also booked themselves a home quarter-final in the Celtic Cup in a fortnight’s time, and Saturday’s match marks the 100th appearance for Hayes and for Jason Holland.
Hayes and O’Connell will start the game while O’Callaghan is named on the bench as coach Alan Gaffney gives Trevor Hogan the opportunity to secure a place on the Ireland trip to Japan later in the year.
Also named in the Munster 22 is Denis Leamy who makes a welcome return from injury
