Junior Rugby is back on track this weekend, with a busy schedule after the inclement weather of the past few weeks casued some disruptions.
One of the big games of the weekend will be Nenagh Ormond s match against Rainey Old Boys, as they continue with their quest to be promoted to the AIL. With two wins under their belt, Nenagh will be hoping to keep up their winning streak and become the 16th senior team in Munster. The match takes place in Nenagh on Saturday at 2.30pm.
The Kelly Cup final (Munster J2), takes place on Friday evening at 6.30om in Ballincollig, with Bandon and Youghal set to battle it out. Youghal had a comprehensive 46-5 win over Bantry in their semi final, and knocked out Muskerry earlier in the year in the quarter final. Bandon s path to the final included an 8-6 victory over Cobh Pirates in the semi final; with a 17-3 quarter final win over Shandon.
The Dave Dineen Plate Final (South Munster J2 Plate) kicks off in Musgrave Park at 7pm. Douglas and Crosshaven will contest this final, with both sides determined to claim silverware. Crosshaven had a 19-15 win over Bandon in their semi final, while Douglas had a 13-10 away win over Muskerry in their half of the draw.
Cashel travel to Clanwilliam on Sunday in the final of the Mansergh Cup, with the visitors aiming to lift their third trophy of the season.
Garryowen and Thurles meet in the Webb Cup final on Sunday in Thomond Park.
Crosshaven and Charleville will battle it out in the final of the Fitzgerald Cup in Crosshaven at 2.30. Crosshaven had a 25-13 win over Muskerry in their quarter final, and defeated 20-13 win over Clanwilliam in the semi final. In the other half of the draw Charleville had a 22-15 quarter final win over Skibbereen, and put an end to Bandon s claim on the Cup in the semi final with a 13-5 win.
Elsewhere there are two O Sullivan Cup games taking place, with Ballincollig travelling to Newcastlewest in their game, and Presentation hosting Mallow in their quarter final clash.
Musgrave Park plays host the South Munster Junior 3 Cup Final between Castleisland and Skibbereen, with that game kicking off at 4pm on Sunday. Skibbereen had a narrow 19-17 win over Midleton in their semi final, while Castleisland ended Killarney s Cup hopes in their semi final tie.
On Bank Holiday Monday, Charleville will host Corca Dhuibhne at 4pm in the Tait Cup semi final.
