Munster Youths Interprovincial Campaign Resumes

With Munster playing their crucial game in Thomond Park on Saturday evening, the Munster Youth team also have a crucial fixture earlier in the day when they resume their IRFU Interprovincial campaign with the Interprovincial Semi Final against Connacht at Crescent College Comprehensive’s grounds at 1.30pm. Victory for the side will ensure them a place in the final the following Saturday against either Leinster or Ulster at Mullingar RFC where they will compete for the title last won in the 2003/4 season. With the initial stages played back in October, Munster can be assured that the long break will have no effect on the squad with all players involved with their club sides in the intervening period. With wins over Ulster and Connacht in the round robin stages, Munster will be aiming to repeat their success.

Sponsored by Avonmore Supermilk, the present squad has worked very hard with the coaches, including Head coach, Tom Mulcahy, forwards coach Eddie Montgomery, backs coach Pat Collins and Manager Nick O Keeffe, ably assisted by Regional Development Officer Mark Hickey. Pat Coman, Dermot Kelly, Tom Nyhan, Nick O Keeffe and Billy O Rourke make up the selection team.
