Munster Top Their Pool

Four tries, three in a scintillating first half, helped Munster to a 31-9 win over Sale Sharks at Thomond Park, a victory that helped them to overhaul the visiting side at the top of Pool One.
Three tries in the opening half, the first from the inspirational Anthony Foley followed by a brace from young guns Ian Dowling and Barry Murphy helped Munster establish a 24-9 interval lead in front of a packed Thomond Park.
Ronan O’Gara, reigned supreme in the number 10 position , he added the extras to those tries landed a penalty and was on target again late in the game to convert the try from David Wallace that ensured that Munster will not have to travel to France for the quarter final,
