The Munster Rugby Supporters Club presented a cheque for 1230 to Cahercalla Community Hospital, Ennis, Co. Clare at their highly successful pre match function last Saturday

The Munster Rugby Supporters Club was extremely happy at the turn out to our third Charity Pre-Match Lunch, Dolans, Limerick, prior to the Sale Sharks game on 21st January.

Cahercalla Community Hospital, Ennis, Co. Clare were the designated charity for the day, and their representative was delighted to collect a cheque for 1230, from Limerick East Labour TD and Supporters Club Member, Jan O Sullivan.

Taking the stage on the day were current Munster player Mike Mullins and Munster legend Christy Cantillon. Tom McSweeney played a superb role as our MC for the afternoon, and all present were treated to some great insights into the current Munster set-up and into the bond that exists to this very day between the Munster and All Black teams of 1978. At the end we were treated to Mike Mullins leading us in a rendition of Stand Up and Fight.

Prior to our three guests taking to the stage, we were delighted to be able to present a Munster Rugby Bodhr n to the Chairperson of the Sale Supporters Club, Anne Blakeney, who in turn presented John Rochford with a signed Sale Sharks jersey.

Everyone agreed that it was the best Charity Lunch yet, with the 20 Sale Supporters in attendance adding to the craic and the atmosphere, before that fantastic performance from Munster.

Comment of the day came from a Sale Shark Supporter in saying about his weekend “Why can t the rest of the world be like Limerick and Munster”.
