Midleton shocked Cork Constitution in Cork Charity Cup as Kanturk, Richmond and St. Senans lose to Second Division sides in Heineken Junior Clubs Challenge Cup.

An inspirational display by Midleton gave their new coach David Corkery a tonic start to the new season with a deserved victory over his former club in the semi-final of the Charity Cup. Midleton will now face Dolphin next Friday night in the final at Musgrave Park. Last season s beaten finalists Kanturk were no match for Bandon in their second round Challenge Cup tie at the Duhallow venue. Muskerry defeated Richmond and Douglas needed extra time to see off St. Senan s in the only upsets of the day.
