Upsets in Charity Cups and Junior Clubs Challenge Cup

Favourites Shannon and Dolphin were surprisingly beaten in the Charity Cup Finals in Limerick and Cork, while Clanwilliam and Clonmel made their exit in Junior Clubs Cup

U.L. Bohemian retained their Limerick Charity cup title with an 18-10 win over Shannon, while Midleton defeated First Division side Dolphin to claim the Cork Charity Cup in a thrilling tie.

It was a bad day for the Tipperary sides in the Heineken Munster Junior Clubs Challenge Cup with Cork sides Bandon, Crosshaven and Youghal overcoming Clonmel, Clanwilliam and Cashel. Kilfeacle are the only Tipperary side left in the competition after they defeated Ennis 20-7.
