O’Meara Back With Munster

With Development player Chris Delooze and Academy member Duncan Williams sidelined through injury Munster have turned to Brian O’Meara who steps in to cover the scrum-half position

Brian O’Meara whose last involvement in a Munster squad was in 1999/2000 returns after spending the past six seasons with Leinster.

With Development player Chris Delooze and Academy member Duncan Williams sidelined through injury, O’Meara comes into the squad as cover at scrum-half.

In addition to the 33 Heineken Cup caps he has accumulated, the 30 year old has also been capped 9 times by Ireland, his last appearance as a replacement in August 2003 international against Italy.

Prior to his switch to Leinster, he won eight Heineken Cup caps for Munster, his last appearance being a winning one, in the side that defeated Neath 34-10 in Musgrave Park, September 1998.
