RIGHT PRICE TILES

VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION PROGRAMME

OBJECTIVES:

Acknowledge significant contributions made by individual volunteers who have developed, promoted, contributed and/or advanced the sport of Rugby.

To create awareness, encourage participation and lift the profile of volunteers in Rugby.

PROGRAMME OUTLINE:

Volunteers are the lifeblood of every sport and leisure organisation in Ireland. They contribute time and energy year after year to assist in the development of sport and leisure activities. Without these people our clubs and organisations would fail to function effectively. Munster Rugby identifies the need to recognise and reward those individuals that have devoted their time by honouring them with a recognition programme.

The programme will reward and acknowledge the efforts of volunteers who devote countless hours week in week out, year after year to provide a safe and enjoyable environment at the grass roots of the game. From the kitchen worker to the weekend linesman to the parents that manage under-age sides, it is up to you to nominate worthy contributors.

This season s programme will run from November 2006 to May 2007 with a reward scheme consisting of six individual Volunteer of the Month awards.

The recognition programme is open to any person currently associated with domestic rugby in Munster, in a non-paid capacity at a club, school, college, university or associated affiliate of Munster Branch IRFU.

Successful nominees who meet the set criteria will be recognised for their efforts by receiving a prize package including 2 tickets to a Munster match and a 250 voucher redeemable in the Munster Rugby Store.
