Rugby fans in Clare will hear first hand what life is like as a professional rugby player when European Champions Munster Rugby host one of their annual breakfast briefings in Ennis. The annual briefing event, hosted in different counties each year, will be held in the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis on Friday 17th November.

The purpose of the breakfast briefings is to give supporters a view behind the scenes of running a professional rugby team. Supporters will also have the opportunity to take part in an open discussion with team management and players on all aspects of the professional game. The
breakfast briefing is organised in association with Ennis Chamber of Commerce and all proceeds from the morning will be donated to Cahercalla Hospice Fund.

Garrett Fitzgerald, CEO of Munster Rugby explained, “we are looking forward to hosting this event in Clare due to the phenomenal growth and level of interest in the game throughout the county. Clare has been a major contributor of players to Munster Rugby at all levels, including the province’s most capped player Anthony Foley. Clare is also a major growth centre for the game so it is important that we visit such areas to let them know what is happening on and off the field. The last season was a huge success for us and the platform for future growth and success, on and off the field.”

The breakfast briefings include a presentation on ‘Running a Professional Rugby Team’ by the Munster Rugby CEO followed by a question and answer forumwith Munster’s Director of Rugby, Declan Kidney and several senior players.

The Munster Rugby breakfast briefing takes place in the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis on Friday 17th November from 8am to 9.30am.

Tickets are available from Ennis Chamber of Commerce on 065 6842988. There are limited numbers and admission is by pre paid ticket only.
