Munster Tops In Arms Park

Munster kept their Heineken Cup ambitions very much on track with a 22-12 win over Cardiff Blues at a wet and windy Arms Park on sunday
Munster remain in pole position in Pool 4 of this year’s Heineken Cup thanks to a gutsy 22-12 victory over Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park.
Munster trailed 6-3 when t6he match had it’s only try, Denis Leamy driven over by the Munster pack. Ronan O’Gara landed the conversion but it was his massive injury time penalty that severely dented Cardiff hopes to send Munster into the break leading 13-6.
However that lead was reduced to just a single point when Ben Blair landed two early second half penalties. O’Gara steadied Munster nerves with two more successful kicks and right at the end landed a difficult penalty from wide on the right under the South Stand to deny the home side a bonus.
